Getting Here
Arriving in Queenstown
From the airport
Queenstown Airport (ZQN) is 8 km east, about fifteen minutes by road outside of peak times. A taxi runs NZ$45–60.
Our private transfer is NZ$75 for up to four guests and is included with the Shotover Penthouse. Book it at least four hours ahead through reception.
Driving
State Highway 6 from Cromwell and the north, or SH6 over the Devil's Staircase from Invercargill and the south. Both bring you in along the lake.
Valet parking is NZ$32 per night with in-and-out access and two electric charging bays. There is no self-parking on site — the street is metered until 6pm.
On foot & by bus
Six minutes to the town centre, eight to the gondola base and two to the waterfront. The lakeside path is flat the whole way.
The Orbus stop on Stanley Street is a three-minute walk and connects to Frankton, the airport and Arrowtown.
Concierge
What the desk can arrange
The concierge desk is staffed from 7am to 11pm and reception covers it overnight. Nearly everything below is booked without a fee — we take the operator's commission rather than yours.
- Airport transfers, private drivers and rental cars
- Lift passes, ski hire, lessons and mountain shuttles
- Milford Sound coach and flight day trips
- Scenic cruises to Walter Peak and Mount Nicholas
- Jet boating, bungee, skydiving and rafting
- Gibbston Valley and Bannockburn wine tours
- Restaurant bookings across town, including the difficult ones
- Helicopter transfers and heli-skiing in season
- Golf at Millbrook, The Hills and Jack's Point
Ask the night before if you want an early start. Anything leaving before 7am we arrange the previous evening, and the kitchen will put out a breakfast box.
